What’s it like?

That said, we absolutely welcome anyone not necessarily seeking a career in those areas, if you are looking for a fun, challenging and memorable experience.
Signing up demonstrates a well-rounded, adventurous and open-minded approach to life and learning. Previous happy customers tell us their experiences helped build their confidence and opened up new opportunities with careers and further education.
Every day is a mixture of interactive workshops and outdoor sessions on a beautiful campus, as well as time every evening free to enjoy as you choose.
The course is intense and deals with information about the body and trauma. Please be prepared for a full-on 5 days of learning that is challenging but enjoyable.
What will I learn?
Throughout the course you take daily workshops that gradually build your first aid skills and knowledge, alongside engaging lectures from medical professionals working in diverse sectors of medicine and humanitarian rescue.
Our team of experts share their personal experiences and offer insights into the realities of working as a medic, doctor or emergency responder. They share the personal journeys that have led them everywhere from NHS A&E departments to remote challenging locations across the world to deliver emergency care.
These insights show you what it’s like to work in high pressure rewarding environments while you explore options for training, medical courses and university programs. You will also experience some simulated rescue scenarios, on land and in the outdoor pool that put your knowledge to the test.
