Originally developed for casualty care training in maritime search and rescue, you can use this comprehensive course for lifesaving everywhere. Whether for work, volunteering, or in day-to-day life, the skills you learn will keep you, your colleagues, your casualties and your family safe!

Successful completion will result in a certification that is valid for 3 years and which meets the criteria set by the HSE for First Aid at Work.

Unlike most first aid courses, it uses an aide-memoire check card system, which massively reduces stress and does not rely on memory during high-pressure situations. The check card system also allows the course material to be more advanced, leaving you equipped to treat more illnesses and injuries.

The course is accessible for beginners or employees in any industry looking to achieve the standard HSE First Aid at Work qualifications. At the same time, ​it is relevant for medical professionals who wish to learn a system for casualty care that is thorough and methodical. It is taught by healthcare professionals ranging from paramedics to doctors and is audited by Saviour Medical, who developed the original casualty care course for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Assumed Pre-Course Ability: Beginner. Still relevant for medical professionals.

Ability After the Course: HSE First Aid at Work & AP Casualty Care certification valid for 3 years.
You will be able to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively administer immediate aid and ongoing treatments to anyone.

Minimum Age: 16

Location & Time: The course takes place over 3 days at AP’s Training Centre in the historic Royal Docks in Newham, East London from 9:30 - 18:30 each day.

Exam Type / Duration: Practical assessments and a final multiple-choice questionnaire examination paper.
